I'm Elizabeth Milner.
I've always had an interest in cameras & magazines.
It was not until 2009 that I fully understood how photographs truly are the pause button on life.
My aunt passed away in November of 2009..
Right before her passing my nanny and mom went into Fred's (a store), and there was a man set up inside taking photos. He asked if they were interested in doing a session. My nanny said, "I haven't had pictures made of the whole family", so she decided to set up an appointment. It was a Sunday afternoon - my nanny, mom, my two aunts, & 9 grandkids dressed in our Sunday best went to Fred's & got our photos done.
The day we went to go pick up the photos was the day of my aunt Angie's funeral... those were the photos we used at her funeral.
That was the day it hit me what photos really meant..
Photographs are what we have when someone is no longer with us.
Photographs can be used to help someone when their memory isn't as strong as it once was.
Photographs freeze time, time that we can never get back, but oh how we can look back at those photographs and remember detail to detail exactly how that day went.
A photograph truly is the pause button on life!
